Jessica Jones – Flexibility on Aerial Hoop/Lyra
Jessica began her performance arts journey at a young age with competitive cheerleading where she learned power tumbling, flexibility, and stage presence. But most importantly, where she found a real love for the stage. At age 17, she began to study Circus Arts under Russian Circus Legend, Evgueni Baranok. With Evgueni she began to master aerials while still learning a variety of other disciplines such as hand balancing, contortion, and acrobatics. At Broward College, she majored in Dance by taking classes, such as ballet, modern, hip-hop, jazz and more, graduating the program with an Associate’s Degree and honors. Jessica has gained experience by performing for companies such as Flying Arrows Productions, Cirque Dreams, Rainbow Circus, and Aerial Artistry.
In this workshop we explore different shapes, splits, and balances while utilizing our flexibility in the aerial hoop/lyra. All levels are welcome!
